iFlight Force iF2205 2300kv motors.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and comes in many different packages and shapes. In the case of these motors it's the elegant design and bright red that appeals.

Test Rig:

Frame: iX5 Carbon Fiber

Props: Dalprop T5040 V2 Tri blade

ESC: iPeaka 30A 4in1 DShot600

Battery: Bonka 4s LiHV 1300mAh 80c

AUP: 476g

Comparison:

Compared to the Emax RS2205s 2300kv motors the Force iF2205 2300kv motors are performing really well. It’s a little bit heavier motor with a touch more amp consumption but definitely on par. If I would gander a guess there might be few percentage points differance in thrust output between the Force and Emax motors. At the current price point of the Force motors these are definitely a motor not to be overlooked.

Thermal wise these motors stayed very cool even with PIDS bumped up and continuous punch-outs.

The highlight for me on this motors was how amazingly smooth they were. Even with their N52 magnets these bad boys does not create any torque jumps and for racing and freestyle I can highly recommend these.

Race proven:

We ran our first NW Regional FPV race on Saturday 20th May 2017 at which I won 1st place in the Stock class with the test rig listed above.

Lining up gates and navigating corners smoothly with these motors was a pleasure, everything just flowed, even with sudden full throttle punches.

That being said, there was no lack for power, great mid throttle performance and fairly decent top end for those long straights.

It’s definitely a good top level 2205 motor but comes at a midlevel price making it a great motor for anyone looking to build a 5” freestyle or race rig or looking to upgrade to a race spec’d motor.
