Upcoming Frame from iFlight-RC

We've seen a lot of crazy innovations in FPV frames over the last few years, from aluminium roll chassis to almost paper thin arms 10mm thick. But the frame innovation currently begin developed by iFlight-RC really does look like the future.

With the iX5s Composite race frame we were opening our minds to the possibility that something other than 3K twill weave could support our race beasts. It’s in this new development where I find myself wondering if this could be the replacement of our pure carbon fibre frames.

This composite frame build has four balsa wood spars running the length of the arms. The body section looks to be reinforced and even the sides of the uni-plate is sealed to create a very strong, rigid, light and durable frame as it would not be plagued by delamination as in conventional carbon fibre frames.

The finishing on this frame looks amazing and I for one can't wait to get my hands on one of these.

This frame is definitely shaping to be the future of race frames.
